RavenFest 2007

February 7th, 2007 by Jon

RavenFest 2007 (3)Back in the day we used to actually play a variety of PC games (Quake, Unreal, Command and Conquer, etc), but these days Malfoy throws one LAN a year and we’ve dubbed it RavenFest. Why RavenFest? Because the only thing we play is Rainbow Six: Raven Shield in co-op terrorist hunt mode.

It’s a thing of beauty getting 6-8 people together in the same room all (usually) working together to take down a bunch of tangos. Usually we breeze through a few levels and then caught up on a level or two (”Treasury” is still our nemesis…). This year, however, we collectively sucked (some of us more so than others - not naming any names…) and didn’t beat a single mission over the many hours. Good times were had by all though.

On a side note, it was nice to see everyone actually rocking LCDs this time around. Lord knows it’s a bitch to fit a bunch of giant CRTs on a dining room table.
